Tuesday December 8th 2009 is a day that I will never forget. I woke up that morning and said, "Today is the day that I'm going to give back. I've been so blessed I need to find a way to help others." Ten minutes later, the phone rang. That phone call changed my life in the most amazing way.

It was Brenda Holdsworth from BH Consulting and Design. She began a project called Wedding Saviours - a group of local companies that have come together to give one couple facing economic hardships a free wedding. She was in search of a wedding planner to help organize a wedding for a couple in need and it only took a few moments for me to realize that this was how I was going to give back to my community.

The amazing thing about Wedding Saviours is that it is based on giving back - not only through our vendors, but through the couples who understand the importance of becoming involved in community projects that help others who are less fortunate.

Wedding Saviours is currently searching for Durham Region vendors who would be interested in joining the project as we are getting ready to do this again!
